Calling all fashion lovers! Christian Dior’s iconic exhibition, Designer of Dreams is finally coming to New York City! After showcasing in London and Paris over the last few years, it has finally made its way to the Big Apple! Designer of Dreams is an experience where you’re taken back in time to visualize the famous designs Christian Dior has created over the century.
With each room having a different theme and interior layout, you’re sure to be mesmerized. One of my favorite installations is the “Atelier” with hundreds of pieces gracing the walls around you. “Colorama” is another favorite of mine because it showcases accessories crafted by Dior over the years in rainbow order. From the iconic Lady Dior bag to stunning pumps, this is a unique installation full of color.
Located at the Brooklyn Museum in Brooklyn, NY, the exhibition has opened its doors TODAY! From now until the end of February 20th, 2022, you have the chance to visit this extraordinary experience. I visited Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams in 2019 on a trip to London & Paris. I absolutely loved being taken back in time to when these designs were crafted and the inspiration behind them.
A special piece that was showcased in London was the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret’s 21st birthday gown. I remember staring at this piece for 15 minutes, admiring Dior’s craft and all of the intricate detailing. While I’m not positive if Princess Margaret’s dress will be on display in the Big Apple, you’re guaranteed to see pieces worn by other famous icons! These include Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco and Jennifer Lawrence!
This is the perfect experience for those looking for a autumn/winter activity to do indoors! Be sure to book your tickets in ADVANCE because this exhibition will sell out quickly!! When I visited London, I purchased the yearly membership at the Victoria & Albert museum JUST for access to this exhibition. Tickets sold out super quick and the queues were long! Don’t forget to bring and show your vaccine card as well, as you must be vaccinated to enter.

If you plan to visit the exhibit, I’d love to hear what you enjoyed the most!
