The Most Beautiful Places to Eat in Mykonos

Mykonos is by far one of my favorite destinations. From my experience, the weather was fantastic, the typical crowds were non-existent during July 2021, and the seafood was delicious. Prior to visiting Mykonos, I have never had Greek cuisine. But after trying it, I have fallen in love. Through my combined adoration for this idyllic island and Greek cuisine, I’ll be listing some of my favorite restaurants from this luxurious party destination.

  1. Vegera

Vegera was my favorite place to visit during my week-long Greek getaway. The fresh cuisine, impeccable service, and great vibes of Vegera all hit the mark. At night when other restaurants were booked up, Vegera always accommodated me by having a table available. Click here to book your table!

Appetizers: Their french fries are super fresh and delicious (hand cut, not frozen!) Besides this, I loved their Grilled Shrimp with Chili Oil & Vegetables.

Mains: For vegetarians, Vegera’s Vegetable Risotto will satisfy your craving with a light but filling main dish. Other mains I recommend include Crispy Chicken with Grilled Vegetables & Spaghetti with Shrimp.

Drinks: Vegera makes the best frozen Strawberry Margarita I’ve ever had. On top of this, you can’t go wrong with a classic Aperol Spritz!

2. Nice N Easy

Does indulging in a bowl of delicious carbs in front of the sea sound appetizing? Check out Nice N Easy. This restaurant is known for having one of the best sea-front views, perfect for lunch.

Mains: I ordered their “Spanakopita Cavatelli” and had lobster added. The sauce was super light & fresh with loads of spinach making it a delicious meal. Because it’s been roughly a decade since I last tried lobster, I decided to have it added to the dish to give it a go (I loved it!)

Drinks: Nice N Easy’s “Royal” cocktail is refreshing and fruity. Mixed with strawberries, basil, & grapefruit soda, it will certainly cool you down from the beating sun.

3. Pasta Fresca Barkia

You can never go wrong with homemade pasta, and Pasta Fresca Barkia does just that! This spot has been open for over 30+ years and is one of the most sought-after restaurants in Mykonos. From a HUGE menu with loads of different pasta combinations and sauces, Pasta Fresca Barkia is the spot for you pasta lovers. Be prepared to wait for a table if you didn’t make reservations and it’s evening peak hours.

Mains: Because they have such a vast menu, I could not decide what to order. My waiter gave me an option to have a tasting where I could choose 2-3 different dishes. I ordered a tasting of two types of pasta dishes and received half portions of Penne Arrabiata & Rigatoni Pesto Genovese. Penne Arribiata had the perfect spice level and was freshly made-to-order. The Rigatoni Pesto Genovese was also great. The friendly staff and overall service was excellent. To top off my night, I was given free shots (something that happens at every establishment I visit!) 4. Kastro’s

Kastro’s is the most iconic restaurant in the heart of Mykonos. How I (thought) discovered this establishment is a funny story. I came across Kastro’s while exploring the Old Town on my first day in Mykonos in the afternoon around 16:00 (4pm). I had no idea that this taverna, nestled along a hidden alleyway, was so famous. I met a few girls who told me the jist about this place and afterwards, we decided to sit down for some lunch next to the ocean.

Mains: I had Seafood Spaghetti with a shrimp bisque sauce that was super light and filling! While the food was great, nothing beats the view.

When booking a table at Kastro’s, I strongly recommend making a reservation beforehand. The establishment offers travelers the ability to make a reservation two weeks prior, with sunset being the toughest time to reserve a spot. Click here to book your table!

I hope this guide helps you plan your next Greek holiday to the luxurious and stunning island of Mykonos! All of these establishments are moderately-priced and offer large menus with a variety of different dishes. For vegetarians, you will have no issue finding a tasty meal at these places!
